Gouache and Acrylic Paintings

What is gouache?

It's like painting with a thicker, creamier version of watercolor. That's essentially what gouache is. It's a water-based paint, just like watercolor, but with a higher pigment concentration. This makes it more opaque, meaning it covers up the color underneath.

So, the main difference between gouache and watercolor is opacity.
